- Question n°1 : Why were the free lockers replaced by paying-lockers ?
- Answer : Because some people started using the lockers as private lockers during several days and even weeks. Frequently we needed to open the lockers and verify its contents. After we have changed the system, this problem have stopped.
- Question n°2 : Why kids under the age of 12 are not allowed to come to NEMO33 ?
- Answer : In the pool the reason is strictly for security. At the rest of the installations of NEMO33 and the terrace, because we try to keep the general atmosphere as quiet and peaceful as possible. In general kids need more some space to play and express themselves and NEMO33 is not really the right place for that.
- Question n°3 : Why is it mandatory that all the divers use a dive computer?
- Answer : Actually is a rule of most of the diving federations so divers are allowed to control and plan their dives, having an instrument that calculates the saturation. If you think that the depth at the bottom of NEMO33 is 34m, you will realize that is necesary to have an instrument to calculate the non-decompression time and the safety stop. We have had cases of divers with not much experience or misunderstanding of the rules of scuba diving who descend right to the bottom or extend their times over the limits. In the case that one of this divers will suffer an accident or incident, all the information of the dive will be recorded on the computer. The most important rule in NEMO33 is to guarantee the safety of all our divers.
- Question n°4 : Why is it also mandatory that divers who will not descend more than 5m use a computer ?
- Answer : Because is a good way to teach the new divers to get use to have a dive computer and learn about desaturation times. As well it is important to guarentee the safety of all divers even if they descend only until 5 meters.
- Question n°5 : Why are the temporary cards not accepted ?
- Answer : Because we had cases in which some instructors did false cards so their student divers pay a reduced price (instead paying the price of a non-certified diver). As well some temporary paper cards were being falsified. So the decision was made: NEMO33 accept with pleasure all the divers with their permanent plastic cards but not with the temporary ones. Remember that if you take any course SSI at NEMO33 you will be able to receive your SSI plastic card on the same day when the course is finished !
